Sorry it took so long to post these!!!

Here I am at 47 years.

After having six kids.

Weight 108 lbs.
Body fat 10%

These were just taken 1/2012. To all the moms out there who feel they lost their body after giving birth, it's a MYTH! Do NOT buy into it. Is it easy? No. Is it comfortable? No. Am I hungry from time to time? Yes. Is my body sore? Yes. Am I fatigued here and there? Absolutely.

Is it worth all this? You bet it is!

It's a New Year. Don't let old beliefs, old habits, and old friends keep you from reaching your health, wellness, and fitness goals. Life is for the living and the taking. Plan for what you want in life. Live the plan. Don't make excuses. Stand up to the challenge! Stand up to yourself. Believe in yourself. Have faith in your plan and yourself. Whether it's eating healthier, challenging yourself more physically, drinking more water, eliminating toxic relationships, or simply getting to bed earlier...just DO IT!

The Three 'Zones'

Three 'Zones' to think about today:

1. The 'Comfort Zone'

A cozy place to be, yet a place where one where generally look back with regret for not having had the gull to do more.

2. The 'Zone': Where intuition comes forth and literally everything seems to just fall into place, physical capabilities run supreme, and intellect is soaring.

3. The 'Trigger Zone': Where one either CHOOSES to push past the comfort zone, or is forced out of their comfort zone. This is the zone where one is tested, tensions run high, uneasiness reins, and proves the individual forcing them to either retreat to their former comfort zone, or muster up the Warrior Spirit within to meet the Challenge.

All of these 'Zones' have a place in our lives. We are not meant to be stagnant in any area. There are times we must seek refuge, rest, calm the nerves and recover. There are times we can grow in leaps and bounds (Choice Points) almost effortlessly, and then there are times we must ride the wave called 'Growth'.

What's your day look like ahead? Your week? Prepare.

For me, it is a 'Trigger' week. Many growing opportunities, challenging, painful, yet profoundly rewarding. I'm volunteering. How about you?

More on these 'Zones' in my book. Have a marvelous day. Know you can conquer anything.

Food for Thought.....

"Every decision you make - every decision - is not a decision about what to do. It's a decision about Who You Are. When you see this, when you understand it, everything changes. You begin to see life in a new way. All events, occurrences, and situations turn into opportunities to do what you came here to do."
- Neale Donald Walsch

MY EXPERIMENT
So I did an experiment yesterday after posting this quote on my Face Book page in the wee hours of the morning. I challenged myself to not only think about my decisions throughout the day, but also base them on 'WHO I AM' vs. 'WHAT I NEED TO DO'.  The outcome was nothing short of a very real, down to earth, humbling lesson taught to me by life itself, based on personal character.

WHAT I FOUND
I found that many of the decisions I had been making on a regular basis where completely made on a 'What I need to do' basis, almost in an auto-pilot type of way. When I weighed the difference between 'What I felt I needed to do', with 'Who I am', I found the outcomes to be completely different! Not only were the outcomes different, but also how I felt on the inside was different, this was perhaps, the most surprising element of discovery.

WHAT'S ON THE INSIDE?
Feelings, character, values, and a feeling of responsibility to both self and others. Yes, I had discovered making choices about 'What I needed to do', came from an almost non-emotional base, whereas making decisions based on 'Who I am', were made with real feeling. It mattered what I wore, how I wore my make-up, how I spoke to others, drove my car, prioritized priorities, and what and how I ate. It affected literally everything I normally do on a daily basis. No lie.

WHO ARE YOU?

ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE?
Come'on, I dare you! Do it. Make every decision based on WHO YOU ARE vs. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO, for an entire day, and learn VOLUMES about yourself and how you function in the world, and within yourself. Better yet, perform this challenge on two days of the week, one weekend day, and one week day. The week day ought to be real interesting, make sure you do it on a day when your plate is fully loaded.

May you learn as much and even more about yourself than I did.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!"

Here we are, at the start of another fabulous year! A New Year means new beginnings, new opportunities, new friends, new faces, new experiences, new inspirations, and the privilege of being the one making it all happen.

Now I realize some of us might be entering the New Year with last years 'baggage'. Baggage? You ask, yes, you know the New Years resolutions from last year that perhaps didn't get completed quite the way we wanted or anticipated.

WHAT TO DO?

Analyze
Look at where your strengths were. Next, examine the weak areas. Use your strengths to overpower your weaknesses going into the New Year.

LET GO
Let go of the guilt, shame, and apathetic feeling you've attached to the perceived outcome, it will only weigh you down.

COMMIT
Make a new commitment, with the understanding that there is NO looking back!!!! That's right, you must keep moving forward despite how uncomfortable it is...sooner or later, you will get used to it.

WHAT'S IN STORE FOR YOU IN 2012?
Well, much of which you will experience will come as a direct result of your efforts, regardless of intentions. You see, intentions are one thing, actions are quite another.

MY 2012 CHALLENGE FOR YOU....

I challenge all my readers to

MAKE 2012 A YEAR OF ACTION!!!!!

Exactly what does this mean? It means when you have a brilliant idea come to you, write it down, and take ACTION on it...immediately! When inspiration strikes, get on your feet and allow it to move through you. When prompted to call someone, read a book, visit a location....listen to the prompting and GO! Set your alarm each morning with the INTENT to get up and GET A MOVE ON YOUR DESIRES! I want you to view your 'snooze button in a whole new way. Instead of calling it the 'snooze' button, this year we're going to call it the 'desire' button. Now, you wouldn't put your 'desires' on hold would you? NO WAY!!!! Then realize whenever you hit the 'desire' button in the morning, you're choosing to put off reaching your desires. Your alarm is a call to you, a call to start the day invigorated, ready to approach the new day that's full of possibilities and opportunities.

IT'S ALL IN THE WAY YOU CHOOSE TO VIEW IT.

May this year bring you all you desire and more. :)

Health,
Jill

End of the Month Assessment #11 of 12

Hi Team:

Here we are, fast approaching the end of the year 2011. I've been asking you each month since the beginning of the year how your goals are coming along, especially in regards to health and fitness.

WHAT'S YOUR REPORT CARD LOOK LIKE?
Remember in grade school how you'd be graded for many aspects of learning for the grade you were in? Reading, writing, math, science, social studies, music, P.E.,and computer, were some of these areas.

I'd like to revamp our Report Card to reflect the following twelve areas for our assessment this month:

Accountability
Attitude
Character
Commitment
Determination
Flexibility
Honesty
Humility
Mental Toughness
Motivation
Perseverance
Self-Discipline

ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountability is an important element of reaching one's goals simply due to the fact that, without it, one has 'free rein' of their actions. Let there be no mistake, consequences are still paid, as there's no way to avoid them. The lesson of accountability itself is to make oneself 'fess up' for their actions. Just like facing the Catholic priest once a week to 'spill the beans', of our actions. We're much more liable to stand to what we've committed to, by holding ourselves accountable to someone we trust.

ATTITUDE
Attitude is first and foremost on my list of grades. I believe mindset, or attitude, is where it all begins, and this my friend, means YOU. What's the altitude of your attitude ninety percent of the time? Are you hopeful, optimistic, outgoing, cheerful, willing, loving, and caring? By this I mean not only to others, but to yourself, as well.

CHARACTER
How's your character? I find as one nears closer and closer to their goals, their character is becoming more and more refined in the process. Most people don't reach their goals for this reason alone, they do not like to be out of their 'Comfort Zones'. Once away from their normal 'zone', they panic, are uncomfortable, and head to what is recognizable to them, which inevitably takes them all the way back to step one. Allow your character to grow WITH you. Don't shortchange yourself.

COMMITMENT
To reach and do anything worthwhile in our lives, we must be committed, and continually re-commit ourselves along the way. Keep a constant reminder around you of what it is you desire to achieve. Keep your enthusiasm fresh, alive, and invigorated! When you want something bad enough, it just won't leave you alone. Take advantage of these feelings!

DETERMINATION
Determination is what wins wars, marriages, children, careers, health, and literally every other area of life. Determination is the driving force behind your actions, and as we all know...

ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!

Your actions alone will speak volumes to you of your determination. What do your actions say?

FLEXIBILITY
We must have a 'blueprint', outline, or guidelines to get a plan of action, however, we must also be willing to be flexible with that plan. Life happens, and it will happen to you no different than it happens to me. Things come up, people need help, events arise, unexpected responsibilities show up, or perhaps there's illness or injury. It happens. Flexibility means keeping your heart, mind, and eye on your goals, while maneuvering through an obstacle course on your way there.

HONESTY
Are you honest with yourself? Are you really sticking to that meal plan your trainer designed just for you? Are you really putting forth the effort in your workouts? Are you really being honest with yourself?

HUMILITY
Are you humble enough to admit that maybe you blew it a few times? Willing to see when you've gotten off track and just as willing to put yourself back on? Humility doesn't mean beating yourself up for shortfalls, it means just the opposite, gain an understanding of your actions, thoughts, etc., and deal with them compassionately just as you would your best friend.

MENTAL TOUGHNESS
Mental toughness is learning to over-ride one thought with another. For instance: When an athlete has mind up their mind 'they are done', they will indeed be done! However, the same athlete can also learn to over-ride their initial thought (or what I refer to as re-actional thoughts), by not immediately reacting to the thought, but rather focus on what they desire instead, and allow those feelings to penetrate the thought process. Test yourself throughout the day, and discover how many times you behave and take action based on re-actional thoughts rather than focused thoughts.

MOTIVATION
Motivation is the reason why you're doing what you're doing. If you don't have at least three solid reasons for reaching your goal(s), they can very easily become 'watered down', and disintegrate right before your very eyes. Examine your why's. Examine your ways. Why does reaching this one particular goal mean SO much to you? Write it down, and read it daily!

PERSEVERANCE
Good old perseverance. 'When the going gets tough, the tough get going....that much faster, more determined, and focused on their goal!' Your goal will be that much more rewarding and worth achieving the more you're required to persevere. You're literally building a new and improved you through the process. Embrace.

SELF-DISCIPLINE
Self-discipline: The ability to control one's feelings and overcome one's weaknesses; the ability to pursue what one thinks is right despite temptations. It all starts with YOU. It all starts with YOUR THOUGHTS, how you perceive yourself, your life, your talents, and all the above aforementioned.

YOU are the sole person responsible for you, and everything about you!

Take charge!

How did you do? I can promise you, by being aware and making the effort to get exceptional grades in these areas, it will be awful hard for you NOT to reach your goals!

Health!
